Este 28 de febrero en la función de los viernes espectaculares del CMLL se llevará a cabo la final del Torneo Nacional Increíble de Parejas de este año; Volador Jr. y Bárbaro Cavernario para enfrentar a Carístico junto a Forastero en el turno estelar; dicha gloria se ha inclinado a favor del depredador del aire como al troglodita del ring en un par de ocasiones, una de estas en conjunto en el 2017.
Una vez más llegan en compañía Volador Jr. y Cavernario, quienes dejaron en el camino a Soberano Jr. y Titán en la primera ronda, pasó lo mismo con Atlantis Jr. y Negro Casas y Ángel de Oro con Sansón en la prueba final de su eliminatoria. En caso de ganar empatan a Mascara Dorada y Atlantis como la segunda dupla en conseguir dos torneo con la misma pareja.
La única vez al momento que la han ganado por separado fue en el 2013 cuando Volador Jr. junto a La Sombra vencieron a Atlantis y Último Guerrero en 2013; mientras que Cavernario es el actual monarca a lado de Titán precisamente eliminando a Volador Jr. y Ultimo Guerrero. Entre ambos se han visto las caras en este tipo de torneos y a los dos se les ha dado vencer a Carístico juntos o individual en torneo pasados. Hoy vuelven a estar juntos y enfrente tendrán al rey de plata y oro, que no se le ha dado ganar este torneo y menos al de la NGD.

Además de la final del Torneo de Parejas también se pone en marcha las eliminatorias por los campeonatos nacionales de parejas, que tendrá a los primeros ocho duetos que busquen acceder a la gran final el 13 de marzo en la arena México. Tanto los Hijos del Infierno como los Divinos Laguneros parten con cierta ventaja, ya que son dos duplas que han encarado la mayor parte de su duelos uno a lado del otro, y los ponen como favoritos. Las seis parejas que completan esta fase son: Titán/Soberano Jr., Sagrado/Misterioso, Templario/Hijo del Villano lll, Fuego/Dulce Gardenia, / Pegasso/Stigma, /Virus/Universo 2000 Jr. se unen a ellos para buscar ser los primeros finalistas.
El resto de la función la protagonizarán: Ángel de Oro, Niebla Roja y Diamante Azul vs Negro Casas, Felino y Terrible en la lucha semifinal.
Inician con las hostilidades Halcón Suriano Jr. y Sonic en contra de Akuma y Espanto Jr.
