- Hola Amigos!
En esta semana me estaba acordando de que se cumplía un año que fui a Tijuana a cubrir una función de The Crash en el Auditorio Fausto Gutiérrez, que es la sede del equipo de basquetbol Tijuana Zonkeys y que también ofrece espectáculos musicales, de Box y por supuesto de Lucha Libre. En esa ocasión se presentaba el evento denominado DESCONTROL, los Hermanos Trauma, La Nueva Generación Dinamita, Dragon Lee, Bandido, El Mesías, La Rebelión Amarilla y los extranjeros Austin Theory (ahora WWE) , Adam Brooks y Matt Taven, entre otros, se presentaron aquel sábado 15 de junio de 2019.
Fue una gran cartelera llena de contrastes y buenas luchas, pero en realidad no voy a centrarme en el show, sino, en todo lo que pasé en esas 24 horas que fueron espectaculares. Desde el inicio del día pude experimentar por primera vez lo que es la vida del luchador (sin luchar).
Para empezar (y por no tener la costumbre de viajar tan seguido), me confié al viajar ligero y no tener que documentar, pues las instrucciones decían que podía llegar 30 minutos antes del vuelo y no habría problema, lo cual no fue cierto, pues al llegar y pedir informes, me dijeron los encargados: “córrele porque ya están abordando” , ni me pusieron las etiquetas que ponen en las mochilas y como se podrán imaginar, no tengo nada de condición, y para acabarla de amolar, la puerta era la 27 y yo estaba en la 5. Fácil me avente corriendo un kilometro, ¡si! Estuvo cabrón, me latía el corazón a mil por hora, me faltaba el aire, sudaba como puerco y hasta me temblaban las piernas cuando llegué.
Afortunadamente seguían subiendo algunos pasajeros y pude respirar para darles mi pase de abordar. El avión salió a las 6: 30 am del sábado y con la diferencia de horarios llegaba a Tijuana a las 7: 30 am (fueron 3 horas de vuelo). Desde ahí sabía que iba a ser una gran aventura y por supuesto una sensacional experiencia.
En el Aeropuerto pasó por mi nuestro compañero Rafa León quien es el encargado de cubrir las funciones de allá, que por cierto no tenía el gusto de conocer. Se ofreció amablemente a ir por mi y vaya que es un tipazo.
Me llevó al Hotel que está frente al Auditorio para que me registrara y dejara mis cosas, mientras me enseñaba y daba un tour por la bella Tijuana. Obviamente me preguntó si había desayunado y mi respuesta fue no, fuimos a unos tacos de birria deliciosos, donde se encontraba una mesera que me sorprendió con su hospitalidad y amabilidad, me trató como si fuera un viejo conocido, pues claro, es fan de las Luchas y conocía a Más Lucha. Ella nos atendió y nos preguntó si íbamos a la función en la noche, obvio ella iba a ir.
Toda la plática con Rafa era de Lucha Libre, me sentía en el paraíso pues normalmente no platico de Lucha con nadie.
Después fuimos al Museo de la Lucha Libre (MULLME), donde pude darme cuenta que la hospitalidad no es sólo de una persona, toda la gente de Tijuana es súper amable, educada y por supuesto muy respetuosa. Ahí conocí a Zaurel un personaje enmascarado que además de ser el anfitrión y socio del Museo, promueve mucho la Lucha Libre en Tijuana.
Zaurel es coleccionista de corazón, desde hace mucho tiempo y junto con su socio, ponen en exhibición todas las piezas de su propiedad para el público, desde estampillas, calcomanías e historietas, hasta equipos completos de luchadores, máscaras, cabelleras, juguetes, pinturas, revistas, videos, es increíble la cantidad de objetos referentes de Lucha Libre que habitan en los 4 pisos que abarca el MULLME.
Con la guía de Rafa disfruté como niño todas las áreas del museo, me explicaba la historia de las colecciones, (me pude dar cuenta que los máximos ídolos de Tijuana son Rey Misterio Sr., Nicho El Millonario ( Psicosis) Damian Halloween, Bestia, Mortiz), además de haber piezas de luchadores de toda la república. La cabellera más reciente que se encontraba en la lista era la recién caída del Macho de Lagos en la Arena México dos semanas atrás contra el Último Guerrero. Si tienen la oportunidad de visitar el MULLME se los recomiendo ampliamente.
Visitamos una tienda de comics a unas cuantas cuadras de donde estábamos, sobre la avenida principal del Centro de Tijuana (que por cierto yo no sabía pero en cada esquina puedes ver a burros de verdad con sombreros mexicanos y elotes), y me explicaba Rafa que los turistas se toman fotos con ellos, es una tradición.
Bueno en la tienda de comics se encontraba Penta el 0 M en firma de autógrafos, como siempre muy amable nos ofreció una entrevista que transmitimos en vivo y que disfruté en compañía de todos los aficionados que se dieron cita en el lugar. Por si fuera poco, conocí también La Arena Rancho Grande (aunque sea de lejos y por fuera, pues estaba cerrado), y después unas carnitas que estaban riquísimas.
Antes de la función y la gente se daba cita en el Auditorio para estar en convivencia con todos los luchadores, una fiesta de Lucha Libre se vivía en los alrededores, una maravilla. El Hijo del Fantasma apenas se acababa de hacer independiente, Bandido atraía a todas las aficionadas y no podía faltar Rey Horus pues es su tierra.
Y ustedes me podrán preguntar: “¿Oye Vic y no te echaste unas chelas o que?”, pues durante la función no, porque como profesional estaba trabajando pero que tal después.
Rafa tuvo a bien de llevarme al Razzas un billar muy particular donde hay chicas con poca ropa que si quieres te hacen un baile, pero como soy un hombre de familia, solamente me dispuse a disfrutar de la buena compañía y cervezas. Conocí a Las Villegas, unas aficionadas muy conocidas en el ambiente. Compartiendo la noche con algunos luchadores, anunciadores y referees reconocidos que omitiré los nombres por respeto, pero nos amanecimos ahí, hasta que llegó el momento de ir al Aeropuerto para regresar a la CDMX.
En el avión me tocó ir con Los Hermanos Trauma, Sansón y Cuatrero, todos teníamos cita en la Arena Naucalpan para seguir trabajando, esa tarde se enfrentaría la NGD vs Los Capos de Naucalpan. Un fin de semana inolvidable.
Pues como lo dije al inicio de esta columna, pude vivir al menos por 24 horas lo que es la vida de un luchador, viajar y trabajar para la afición, el amor a este deporte es inmenso por todos sus participantes, algo que seguro quedará en mi memoria por muchos años, espero poder repetirla.
Hay que tener mucho respeto y consideración para todos los luchadores y toda la gente que hace posible que se presenten en sus estados, ciudades, pueblos, etc. Pues es un esfuerzo muy grande para poder entretener y brindarse al máximo a toda la afición.

- 4 onzas de tequila
- 8 onzas de jugo de naranja
- 2 onzas de jarabe de granadina
- 1 naranja
- 1 cereza
- 1 bolsa de hielos
- En un vaso largo se colocan los hielos, después se coloca el tequila junto con el jugo de naranja.
- Luego se coloca la granadina lentamente y esperamos a que baje y se decante en el fondo, decoramos con una rodaja de naranja y una cereza.
