Como muchos otros deportes, la lucha libre ha sido fuente de inspiración artística y literaria a lo largo del tiempo; hombres y mujeres de muy deferentes ideologías han plasmado su visión en libros fantásticos, históricos y académicos demostrando que el deporte espectáculo puede ser tratado y disfrutado desde muy diferentes ángulos.
Hoy, Día Internacional del Libro, quiero hablarles un poco de “A dos de tres caídas”, libro que vio la luz en 1998 escrito por Rosario Novoa. Esta es una historia calificada por algunos como “rosa”, pero que refleja de manera atinada el sueño de llegar a ser una estrella de la lucha libre gestada desde la infancia. El Felipe, personaje principal de la historia y de origen tabasqueño, nos cuenta cómo enfrenta no solo la lucha en el ring, sino fuera de este, con rivales mucho más difíciles de los que se topa en cada función, pasando hambre, frio, soledad, pero seguro de que todo vale la pena, pues el éxito está a un paso.
El sufrimiento y sacrificios que pasan los luchadores en la vida real lo hemos escuchado hasta la saciedad, pero eso no quiere decir que deje ser conmovedor, todos son un caso irrepetible y particular que pocos ven recompensado con el estrellato.
Hace unos días, al ver a Dragon Lee en la inauguración del Bandido´s Gym, recordé la historia de El Felipe, al igual que él Dragon Lee y sus hermanos la pasaron muy difícil para ganarse un lugar en la lucha libre, solo Los Muñoz saben las peripecias que tuvieron que pasar para llegar a donde están. Los recuerdo bien a todos, Dragon Lee, Rush y Místico, siempre amables y sonrientes, poniendo la mejor cara aunque la estuvieran pasando mal. Hace casi tres años que no platicaba con Dragon Lee, tal vez por eso noto mucho más los cambios que ha sufrido como profesional y como persona, su manera de hablar ha cambiado, se expresa mejor y se nota seguro de sí mismo.
Cómo cambian las cosas con el paso del tiempo, cuando los Muñoz empezaron a destacar en el CMLL todo el público los odiaba, aseguraban que eran consentidos por ser sobrinos de uno de los programadores, Franco Colombo, (parentesco totalmente falso), pero cuando se salieron de la empresa el villano seguía siendo el Consejo por dejar ir a tremendos talentos.
Todo es cuestión de enfoques, pero lo cierto es que Los Muñoz tuvieron el valor de irse a lo desconocido en busca de más, porque sabían que tienen talento de sobra y que podrían hacerla en grande de manera independiente construyendo el camino hacia donde quieren llegar y que solo ellos saben.
Dragon Lee dijo algo muy cierto en la entrevista que Bernardo Guzmán le realizó, las cosas ya no son como antes, ya no solo es Consejo Mundial y Triple A, ahora hay muchas opciones para crecer y eso lo están tomando en cuanta muchos jóvenes luchadores.
Aquí no se trata de hablar bien o mal de una empresa u otra, hay que entender que, como cualquier empresa, cada una vela por sus intereses que, muchas veces, no coinciden con los proyectos de los empleados que, a final de cuenta, eso son los luchadores.
La diversidad de oferta que hay en un deporte que poco a poco se globaliza es muy grande, por lo que un luchador no debe sentirse atado a nadie para conseguir sus objetivos, así como lo hicieron Los Muñoz.
No es secreto para nadie que en las empresas más grandes existe descontento en muchos elementos y ven la posibilidad de salir, incluso ya lo vimos en WWE con Andrade, ojalá que se atrevan, porque no hay nada más frustrante que con el paso del tiempo que pensar en el “hubiera”.
Así como El Felipe, todos los luchadores deben seguir sus sueños y llegar hasta donde ellos quieran, totalmente respetable si es quedarse en una empresa el resto de su vida, pero también lo es si quieren explorar nuevos horizontes, no se sorprendan si dentro de poco empiezan los movimientos.
