El Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre anunció que la función de 87 Aniversario se celebrará el viernes 25 de septiembre en la Arena México. Tendrá transmisión digital, y existe la posibilidad de tener un 30% de aficionados en la catedral de la Lucha Libre, si las autoridades lo permiten.
El regreso de la empresa que se considera a sí misma seria y estable es una extraordinaria noticia para la Lucha Libre. Celebrar el Aniversario en septiembre es un mensaje claro de querer reactivar las actividades que se han mantenido detenidas por más de cinco meses.
Se anunció también que la noche de aniversario será una noche de campeones y que los aficionados podrán votar por los retadores para contender por los títulos que estarán en juego. Actualmente hay más de veinte campeonatos en las filas del CMLL, entre los nacionales, los mundiales y los históricos de la NWA.
El caso del CMLL es particular en cuanto a campeonatos. No se les da el justo valor. Por ejemplo, hay divisiones que tienen hasta tres monarcas. Soberano Jr, Titán y Volador Jr son campeones wélter, por mencionar un caso. Además, hay luchadores que son campeones en categorías de peso que no les corresponden, como Cuatrero, Campeón Mundial Medio con más de 90 kilogramos. Hay campeonatos que no se defienden durante un largo período de tiempo.
Hay ocasiones en las que el mismo luchador tiene tres o más oportunidades consecutivas por un cinturón. Ha sucedido también que un luchador tiene oportunidades por dos cinturones en la misma división en la misma semana. ¿De qué depende? Quién carajo sabe. El punto es que de repente tenemos una lucha de campeonato en Puebla, a veces una eliminatoria en martes, en domingo… un galimatías.
En el aniversario, el CMLL tiene la oportunidad de darle valor a un elemento importante que hoy no lo tiene. Esto no debe ser una salida ante la imposibilidad de presentar una lucha de apuesta sino de ofrecer un gran espectáculo en el marco más importante.
Las combinaciones son infinitas. Con un elenco de más de cien luchadores, se antojan combates de auténtico alarido. ¿Qué tal un Último Guerrero contra Gilbert el Boricua? Bandido contra Volador Jr. Sansón contra Cuatrero. La oportunidad de ver a Atlantis, Negro Casas, Shocker, Rey Bucanero o Blue Panther en una lucha por un cetro nacional… Me froto las manos sólo de imaginarlo.
Calma. Mi Consejo es… no ilusionarse. El Departamento de Programación lo demostró el año pasado, cuando se presentó en la conferencia de prensa del 86 Aniversario con una hoja en blanco para que firmara el que quisiera firmar. Con todo el valor que tiene celebrar el aniversario, me parece que un año más nos vamos a tener que “conformar” con lo que nos ofrecen. En medio de las circunstancias, está bien, pero para la autoproclamada mejor Lucha Libre del Mundo, bien no basta. Ojalá me equivoque.
