Arena López Mateos buscará donaciones ante riesgo de cierre definitivo

Don Héctor Guzmán Herrera, Director General de la Arena López Mateos de Tlalnepantla, Estado de México, prepara una campaña en la plataforma Donadora, con la cual buscará recaudar los recursos necesarios para continuar con la operación de este centro de espectáculos que ha albergado Lucha Libre desde hace 53 años.

La campaña de la Arena López Mateos buscará recaudar $110,000 (ciento diez mil pesos), los cuales, según se explica, serían utilizados para cubrir los pagos de servicios pendientes, el mantenimiento y rehabilitación del inmueble, además de servir como presupuesto base para la contratación de luchadores, publicidad y difusión de la función del Aniversario 53. En caso de no conseguir los recursos necesarios, la arena correría el riesgo de cierre definitivo.

Las donaciones aún no están activadas; sin embargo, la campaña, que puedes encontrar aquí, ya puede ser compartida a través de Internet. Como muestra de agradecimiento para las personas que decidan apoyar, la familia Guzmán estaría entregando reconocimientos a los donadores.

La función por el 53 Aniversario de la arena en la que participarían Blue Demon Jr y Dr. Wagner Jr estaba programada para el 24 de mayo; sin embargo, se anunció que quedaría pospuesta hasta nuevo aviso. Por su parte, Lucha Memes tiene anunciado su evento “Súper Indy Fifí Show” para el 5 de julio en esta arena.

Como consecuencia de la emergencia sanitaria provocada por la pandemia de coronavirus, los eventos masivos han quedado cancelados o pospuestos hasta nuevo aviso. En cuanto al deporte-espectáculo, la Comisión de Box y Lucha Libre Profesional del Estado de México prohibió las funciones, incluso a puerta cerrada, hasta, al menos el 20 de abril. Posterior a ese anuncio, la jornada de sana distancia se extendió hasta el 30 de mayo a nivel nacional.
